Hello and Welcome from
Long Island , New York
PHOENIX SHEPHERD CORP

All of our dogs are from titled proven show stock parents or grandparents and are sold with a contract. We have been breeding quality German Shepherds and only German Shepherds for 40 years now, which is unsurpassed by any other breeder here on Long Island. We offer you the protection of not having to purchase a dog from a backyard breeder whose contracts if any, are usually worthless because they went out of business shortly after selling off their first litter; or from pet stores, whose puppies parents usually don't reside on the premises and whose quality is always suspect, since they are neither titled or have ever won any ribbons proving their breed value.

THE OPINION OF LICENSED JUDGES IS THE ONLY ASSURANCE YOU CAN GET OF A DOGS VALUE, NOT FROM THE OPINION OF THEIR OWNERS, YOUR NEIGHBOR, OR SOME SALESMAN IN A PET STORE.

Recently, a friend asked me why I continued to still train my dogs in spite of my degenerating health condition. I told him that despite the fact that I haven't imported any dogs for at least 2 years now its always been my goal to stay at the top. He didn't understand and I had a difficult time intrying to explain it to him. Well, last week, I received one of my "car magazines and while reading one of the articles there, the editor used a Cadillac advertizement written in 1915 that says it all. Mind you, back then and for many years after, Caddilac was considered to be one of the standards of quality throughout the world. Today, 94 years after this ad was written, the CTS version of the Caddy is now considered, once again by most car magazines, to be able to compete with the best cars BMW and Mercedes Benz cars makes in the same price range.

The title of the ad was headed as "The Penalty of Leadership". It states,"he that is first must perpetually live in the white light of publicity ... the reward is widespread recognition; the punishment, fierce denial and detraction (by other competitors). The ad finally concludes with these words,"That which is good or great makes itself known, no matter how loud the clamour or denial."

Now when you think about it, it makes sense why various manufacturers of any given product, whether they be electronics, automobiles or dog breeders, will rarely speak well about anothers product. Me I just try to point out to people what our dogs did in competition against our local, National and
international competitors. If our dogs placed higher than theirs, that makes ours, by all competitive standards, better than theirs.

To those breeders that use excuses for not competitng by complaining that all competition is "fixed" but still wish to claim their product is better ........ <smirk>. There is an old fashioned American term for that, its called BS.

The "white light of publicity" gee, that could almost be compared to another American Idioism, "If you can't take the heat, get away from the fire." So many, choose the latter, I call them the "have nots", yet they sit on the sidelines of life in the shadows of the nebulous internet and criticize those
that can and have. They are not even, "wanna be's", wanna be's at least try sometimes; they are "never will be's" who know that the quality of the goods they purchase will never be able to compete at the highest level and they are doomed to failure and exposure.

Choose your breeder as carefully as you choose your puppy, they are not all created equal any more than all the puppies in the same litter will grow up to be VA rated. Thats why the most knowlegeable breeders price their dogs differently. Years of competition have taught them which ones will likely
turn out structurally better.

For those of you when making inquiries, whose first question is,"How are the hips on the parents of the puppies ????? Read on:
